@b0rk Yes! I love remaking as a learning tactic. Also works with games and songs (as in, re-making a recording of a song)

Does anyone else like to learn how a program works by translating it into a different programming language? (for example recently I translated the bash scripts from tls13.xargs.org into Python) I feel like it's a manageable difficulty level and I always learn a lot.

Whoever designed these toys that yell out for attention after not being touched for an hour should be disbarred from the lollipop guild or whatever

@mulderc Yeah It’s bad - you can hardly even use old software that hasn’t grown bloated because it usually just doesn’t work at all

@phil_nft @TomHarrigan Hahaha - I think another decade would be more appropriate, but no I wouldn’t double down. Empirically, tools that survive a decade are all but guaranteed to be used forever. It was clear the bet was lost within 3 years

whoever designed smoke detectors to make the same sound for "fire" and "low battery" should be fired
