Hi, I don’t like talking about personal stuff here, but in light of anti-Asian violence in my native ATL, I want to share my experience of being assaulted by a group of strangers a block from my NYC apt in 2018, to shed light on how real anti-Asian hate is and always has been.

I want to know their names, who and what they loved, the people they had waiting for them at home, everything they hoped for. I want to know the fabric of their days and the contexts of their lives.

Here's why I hate the days when I feel like absolute garbage. It's not the symptoms themselves, but that I can't do anything but think about how awful I feel, the sheer number of days I feel this awful, and the fact I have few helpful treatments. It just gets overwhelming.

Just popping on with this vitally important thought: @netflix's "Teenage Bounty Hunters" is an excellent show with an unfortunate name but plenty of humor and social commentary. It really needs to be picked up for a second season! Now back to your regularly scheduled program.
