And historic pre GFC interest only mortgages happily sold by brokers with no repayment vehicles resulting in trapped customers following post crash regulatory change. Customers with no arrears, term end approaching and no effective policy protections for those customers

@JonIronmonger UKMP have warned industry and govts that huge rises in homelessness and reposessions are around the corner. Our members have been paying over 6% since the 2008 crash with non lenders and no help. Govt sold us out! Members repossessed or forced to sell

Those safeguards were taken away for 200k #mortgageprisoners when our mortgages were sold for a profit to inactive lenders, charged 6% SVR since 2008 now paying up to 10% @hmtreasury @LucyRigby @TheFCA @UKFtweets all ignoring the most vulnerable with highest risk of homelessness

Wld like to know how many of the mortgage repos were from inactive lenders whose only aim is to make a profit off their customers charged high interest rates, cause yrs of financial detriment until the families are left with choice, forced sale or repossession #mortgageprisoners

FFS if it wasn't bad enough that my mortgage got sold to a company that no longer lends so I can't get a better deal/extend my term, the bastards have now sold it on to a subsidiary of Topaz Finance so I'm even worse off as I've seen the horror stories of other mortgage prisoners
