This is amazing!!! $USDC is now on the XRPL. Shortly after Ripple announced they’d be launching their own stablecoin, I said it would be ridiculous for Circle to cede the ground that is the $XRP Ledger to Ripple. Ripple has a real chance at dominating a significant portion of the stablecoin market. It would make NO sense for Circle to have $RLUSD dominate the XRPL unchallenged. Looks like Circle thought the same thing as me. And now they’re competing head to head with Ripple for stablecoin dominance on the XRPL. This will substantially increase the TVL (total value locked) on the XRPL which is a major predictor of whether or not a native cryptocurrency will appreciate in price in a meaningful way. This is incredible news for all $XRP holders! Remember: $XRP is required for $USDC to be tokenized on the XRPL, and $XRP is required as a gas token for EVERY $USDC transaction on the XRPL. Just astonishing news. Truly. 😎🤘🏻🔥

President Trump has announced a Crypto Strategic Reserve consisting of Bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies. This is consistent with his week-one E.O. 14178. President Trump is keeping his promise to make the U.S. the “Crypto Capital of the World.” More to come at the Summit.

The beauty of the SEC’s statement on MemeCoins is its simplicity. The question for the SEC is whether something falls under its jurisdiction—not whether it’s legal or illegal. If fraud occurs, other agencies can act. The guidance sticks to law and precedent, avoiding vague concepts like “decentralization.” MemeCoins aren’t securities because they don’t confer rights to income, profits, or assets. Their value comes from market sentiment, not managerial efforts. And without investment in a common enterprise, there’s no investment contract. This doesn’t have to be complicated.

This is great news but, as I said to @Cointelegraph in an interview this morning, let’s not go from one extreme to another. Let’s make sure we implement policies that encourage and foster innovation in America, while making sure safeguards are in place to protect users, customers, and retail investors. We all know fraud and bad actors will continue to persist in any burgeoning industry. There will be fraud, pump and dumps, and other activities, we need to address as we move forward. I hope @realDonaldTrump’s Crypto Counsel, with @DavidSacks and @BoHines leading the way, also has a voice on it for retail investors.
