it is a miracle nothing goes wrong at overnight queues before sunrise you should personally feel shame for queuing overnight for a Lorcana product demand at the very least safe but ideally fair ways to attain product

if anything, it’s a miracle nothing bad happens at these overnight queues until the morning you should personally feel shame for camping overnight for a Lorcana product you shouldn’t be prepared to do this for cardboard and should demand a safe and fair release model

@Patpatsque it’s really dumb how expensive trains are here. I took a friend on a return trip of Birmingham to Glasgow and it was cheaper to buy a railcard for just that single journey

@Patpatsque make sure you are using an app to buy tickets - the price can fluctuate a lot based on time of day (I have travelled this route and it can cost under £15) consider a railcard, you don’t need to be a UK citizen - £35 for one year, 33% discount on all trains

unfair to blame scalpers when the method to attain product is pretending to sleep rough for a night

Overnight queueing is ridiculous and any alternative to “consider queueing overnight in London for over 12 hours” would be an improvement

@hellscapescape I think if deck costs were within whatever is an acceptable range (which MTG’s can often struggle to be) the prizing just needs to not be stupid (which MTG’s again tend to be yeah). At least the game is good, generally.

@hellscapescape Yugioh has had similarly bad prizing to deck cost too. Like, battling it out for air fryers. I totally get the jealousy angle. Looking at a game with disproportionate prizing by comparison feels awful.

there’s some really sad to me about the financial lucrativeness of card games being such a focal point at the moment to determine which one is best I feel like these conversations were more abstract before even if prizing always played a role, but yeah

@bjmartin1234 It’s not even playing for fun, it’s just, the first thing I’ve always talked about when discussing card games is accessibility and enjoyment. I think it speaks to the new expectation TCG’s must prospect jobs/side hustles.

@jimblesTCG Agreed. Playing just for FUN seems to have been lost in time

It has huge parallel’s to the “dead game” point used when discussing enjoyment of life service games to detract from the ones with perceived dwindling player bases/no hype for me. I’m sure these are the trendiest three card games currently but definitely not all in the Big 3

I also totally appreciate this is the lens a professional player would have like DKP. I just lament how it seeps into the mentality of normal players (where maybe one person at their lgs day 2’s a premier event) instead of determining games primarily by enjoyment

@AikadoLoR If tft had an end turn button, or something to that effect I think you’d see a sharp decline in interest. The “auto” of autobattler really carries the casual friendliness of it.

@AikadoLoR this highlights for me the greatest strength and weakness of The Bazaar. I love taking my time and being able to play one run over multiple days. But the fact the game doesn’t just keep going and it feels so isolating makes it hard to default to.

Learning a new TFT is set is suuuuuuuuuch a pain in the ass. To play properly there's so much to learn - how to make best board early, signpost units and augments, when/how to transition your board, good items to slam early. How do casual players play this game? Like actually

@SithlordzomB Speaking in private has zero bearing on guilt. Any points raised to the judge should be cross referenced and investigated by that judge. Giving a judge information first does not matter, they aren’t emotional parents sorting out a squabble between siblings. 2/2

@SithlordzomB I understand your point. I’d suggest talking on a podcast is very different to telling your opponent something they can misinterpret as an accusation of cheating. 1/2

it’s sad how Lorcana is championed as a safe space for women and yet so many cannot fathom the concept of a private judge call ever being appropriate it is never the job of a player to regulate their opponent’s emotions or enforce rules

@BladerMagician @beefcake_19 not at all, just doesn’t really matter in the context of his opponent having extra cards genuinely cannot believe your last tweet is about the importance of speaking to a judge to appeal a decision on cheating and you’re not on Zan’s side - you can’t be a real person truly
