@dogburn55 @caro_irl From what, combo winter? Or current vintage? I don't think anyone has done extensive testing of unrestricting individual vintage restricted cards, which would be the only thing relevant here.

@dogburn55 @caro_irl Maybe so but are you trying to tell me that as a 4x academy is more busted than ancestral, time walk, or contract? I highly doubt it.

@hellscapescape @caro_irl Academy is only unremarkable because it's restricted to 1. When it's able to be ran at 4 it is the strongest deck.

I hate RYM and most of the culture surrounding that site, but I did used to read a lot of Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and NME as a young man so I have excessively strong, controversial opinions on critic-approved albums. Thank god there's no Animal Collective on here, at least.

@dogburn55 @caro_irl In no world is it academy. In the current restricted list vintage, academy is unremarkable. Other restricted cards get more egregious as 4x (recall, walk, lotus).

@hellscapescape @hendrixnroses I feel like the gap between 3.5 and 4 is much larger than the other gaps, and the gap between 1 and 1.5 is basically nonexistent

0.5- awful. everything is wrong. 1- not enjoyable. most things are significantly wrong. 1.5- bad but i acknowledge the production quality. 2- boring. 2.5- boring. has some good qualities 3- okay. no major faults, no strong feelings abt them. 3.5- solid w at least 1 great aspect. i liked it. 4- enjoyable and well made. 4.5- love it i’d rewatch and recommend. 5- PERFECTION. it has changed smth within me.
