Yes, we are Xenophobic. That's why 14 South African soldiers died in Congo in 2025 fighting for the people of Congo. When Nigerians kidnapped 200 girls, the African Union did nothing When Zimbabwe massacred its people, the African Union did nothing, but South Africa stepped up and gave Zimbabweans ZEP, for them to live and work in South Africa. We have been giving Africans asylums, and today, we are labeled as haters of Africans. We are overcrowed, disrespected by the same people we extended our hands when their leaders abused and killed them. Le ungrateful le marete.

I think as South African Men you need to come interms with the fact that we as people from other African countries, don't mind dating other people from different parts of Africa because it is such an non issue, it's very normal and our men don't slut Shame or attack us. You're allowed to date anybody you Want . So this derogatory notion of "playing Afcon" doesn't land at all to us as much as you insult and slut Shame YOUR women for dating outside of SA. To the Ugandans complaining about South Africa - how would you react if your streets were filled with hawkers from foreign countries? When I look at the people harassing immigrants in South Africa, I notice it is the lesser educated, lesser privileged ones, attacking foreigners doing petty business rather than foreigners working in offices. And you will notice it is the south African elite that seem baffled by the xenophobia, urging their people to show restraint. There is a nuance to this problem that is not being discussed. This is partially a class issue. The people most affected by the influx of illegal immigrants doing petty work are the people at the bottom socio-economically in South Africa. Isn't it fair for a poor South African to ask why they need Nigerians and Zimbabweans selling tomatoes on their streets and running neighbourhood kiosks? I do not see them bothering bankers, economists and other professionals from other African countries working in South Africa, because they are far fewer in number and are not an economic threat to the middle class or elite black South African. And because of largely undocumented (illegal) status of many of these foreigners, when they commit crimes there tends to be less consequences because they are not even easy to track. Don't get me started on the legitimate concerns about fraud, drug and sex trafficking that are perpetrated by certain specific nationalities that I shall leave unnamed for now. While of course we must denounce violence, we also have to be fair to the black South Africans - especially those at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder. There are indeed many things to criticise about them, but on this issue we have to look at the matter more broadly.

This is a Nelson Mandela bridge and an illegal immigrant is selling bananas, It is hard to have people who don't assimilate to our living standards. In South Africa immigrants are selling everywhere they see a space and it is disgusting. SAHRC #MadlangaCommission Jacinta MaCele

@DenisMujuni6 @jamesonen They don't pay tax. You need to be registered to pay tax. They use public healthcare and take their kids to public schools. SA citizens are paying the bill. Besides, we have bylaws, which this guy is clearly breaking.

@jimcrowhub @pat_mxolisi @RoryDuncan1966 The basic staple basket in South Africa is R2 1774… we cannot expect our citizens to live as though they are struggling Zimbabweans in their own country . No

Why are South Africans not doing delivereries, driving Ubers? The majority doing this work are from outside our borders. Is it because they're more motivated and have a deeper hunger? Is it because they'll do anything for money while we run to unions and complain about things?

@pat_mxolisi @RoryDuncan1966 In zimbabwe the average salary for a housekeeper is $60 stay in ,inclusive of food .So you give a zimbabwean that money which is R1600 / $80 monthly stay in , they will be more than happy because they earn more than they should.

@RoryDuncan1966 We are undercut by foreigners in every sector. They stand so low in a way that a south African simply can not accept. A Zimbabwean girl said to me she get paid R800.00 every fortnight. Can you imagine

I want to make this special plea to all Zimbabweans from all ethnic backgrounds. Let us not amplify the voices of wicked, cruel, and bad people in our midst. We know who they are. We know that they create divisions within communities and within ethnic groups. Some of them are even funded to do so. Because if we remain divided, those who exploit us will continue to remain strong. So I want to appeal to you, my dear brothers and sisters, whether you are Ndebele, Shona, Shangani, Nambya, or from any other ethnic group, please let us not amplify the voices of people who divide us. I have been tagged in so many posts where you have a Shona man saying bad things about Ndebele people or a Ndebele man saying bad things about Shona people. Please do not tag me in those posts, because I will never repost them or comment on them. By doing so, I would be irresponsible. I have over 1.7 million people following me across three social media platforms, and the moment I respond to or amplify that nonsense, I give that person access to those 1.7 million people. That would be irresponsible, and that is why I will never participate in those kinds of discussions. I am not a tribalist. I am not a racist. I am a decent human being who wants to live in harmony with my compatriots from Zimbabwe and with people wherever I live, whether in South Africa or in Britain. I have lived in many countries and studied in different environments where there were significant differences in ethnic identity between myself and others, yet we got on very well. So what would stop me from getting along with my own people? As a man, I have had relationships across different ethnic groups, Ndebele, Manyika, Karanga, and even those close to me such as Zezuru, as I was growing up. I was never taught to hate a person on the basis of their ethnic identity. So please, let us not amplify such destructive voices in our communities. Block them if you can. The moment you amplify, retweet, or reshare such content, you are participating in it. You are validating it. And that is something we must all reject. Tribalists are useless people with no purpose in life except destroying communities.

South Africans always treat Kenyans respectfully. I don't know why. Moreover, South Africans are some of the most intelligent, polite and professional people in the world. I honestly don't know why the country is not topping the charts but I suspect socialism.

I love all good, law-abiding foreigners in South Africa - who work hard, respect laws & get along with locals. I SYMPATHIZE with illegal foreigners who came to SA illegally, but are pushing decent small businesses & jobs, in order to get by. I HATE illegal foreigners (& locals) who steal, kill, rape, sell drugs, traffick humans, & are unnecessarily disrespectful to SAns. These things are easy to understand, but bots, trolls & idiots on this platform are enabled to talk shit & paint false narratives about me & other SAns trying to make this country better. Try to ignore the noise & remain vocal about what you believe in. 🙏🏽❤️✊🏽

I hope Zimbabweans takes your advice and truly listen. You people need to unite but it might be a bit difficult when some of your people live in diaspora and well off and not want to associate themselves with other. You need to also in courage them to go home and be the united nation and help build Zimbabwe, what do you think 🤷🏼‍♂️But I love your idea though 🙌🏽
