There were about 250 pitches thrown in that game. If you take out balls put in play and foul balls…he probably called a ball or strike 175ish times.

The Kentucky Volleyball team will play Penn State on Sunday, Sept. 6 at Wrigley Field in a historic outdoor match inside one of Major League Baseball’s most iconic venues as part of the inaugural 2026 SEC/Big Ten Volleyball Challenge. The match will be televised on FOX and will either have a first serve of 7 p.m. ET or 9 p.m. ET.

@lennyraley2 Can’t speak for CEC in particular but I know a few coaches from other small Christian school who have chosen to compete at the KCAA level to be more competitive over all.
North Hardin Christian for instance is leaving the KHSAA this year and will go to KCAA

Also schools like Christian Educational Consortium are not allowed to compete in State Championship events. They do attend class. They do have grades. The best 200/400 runner in the State attends there. Already has 60+ college credits. Full ride scholarship to UK. Change KHSAA.

I just don’t get how a blister rules you out.
I have been a competitive runner for almost 35 years. You know how many blisters I have ran through? Super glue the damn thing and get to work. Pain is part of winning

Reds’ Lodolo (blister) played light catch for maybe 15-20 throws this afternoon. Francona, trainer, front office officials convened after. Lodolo said he didn’t know what plan would be. Said it was OK but didn’t sound particularly enthused. Team says “working on it.” IL in play.

When he passes, I’d bet his kids sell the land anyway. And, while they’ll get big money, that’s future money, which won’t be worth as much as if they’d have gotten it today!

@jimi357 Wow, either he thinks he’ll get a better offer (doubtful) or he thinks it’s “too good to be true”.
In the end, his property is worthless if he’s not using it and not willing to sell it. Might as well hold on to his VCR until he gets a better offer!

@CardinalStelts I don’t think it’s the data center specifically. Folks who gave land just don’t think anything is as valuable.
I had a client them offered several million a year on a 20 year lease to allow solar panels and he declined.
It was a $50mill contract and he retained the land🤷🏻♂️

@jimi357 I don’t understand why people have such hatred for data centers? She could take half of that and feed every family in her town for years and still have her family taken care of for generations!
