Chapell Roan trying to act innocent while there’s a viral video of her telling her security to stop a fan from recording. U wanted fame. U wanted to be a star. This is part of it. If u don’t like attention, walk away from spotlight anytime 😎 Time to take some accountability!

I told a friend of mine that I can’t wait until my husband and I can afford to leave this country and she was like “That’s the new American dream with this lunatic in charge, to get the fuck out of here.” It made me so sad to realize how right she was.

@brainiac3397 @suchnerve The Guinness Book of World Records had the moon landing listed under the section “Human Achievement”. It wasn’t a world record in and of itself, but it was acknowledged nonetheless, such was the impact of that moment in our time.

@suchnerve The US moon landing was such successful propaganda that Americans still use that as an example of scientific superiority over the USSR while ignoring literally everything else the USSR achieved including designing a space station (whose data was used to develop the ISS).

Propaganda is why Americans get so dramatic about the moon landing btw. It was originally “Who will get to space first?” and we lost, so our government chose to move the goalposts to “Who will get to the moon first?” and they would’ve moved goalposts again if we’d lost a 2nd time

it’s interesting that robby feels he needs to disconnect his empathy as a survival tactic but mckay is one of the more empathetic characters and generally coping better. she didn’t even fall for his guilt trip over roxie.
tania@444WELCH

it’s hilarious to see robby trying to start shit with cassie bc he always loses he thinks he can intimidate her but is never able to bc cass is very self assured and stands her ground against just like al-hashimi and he hates it

In the Movie 300 the Persians are shown as the giant empire trying to force its way through a narrow chokepoint while a smaller force uses geography to cut that size down. Now flip it: near old Persian waters, it is the Americans and their allies who look like the oversized power, and the chokepoint is no longer their tool, it is their problem. So the region keeps the same historical joke alive for 2,500 years. Empires change uniforms, ships replace spears, oil replaces marching columns, but one narrow passage still has the power to make the bigger side look clumsy, exposed, and dependent. That is the irony: the Persians were once the empire trapped by the bottleneck in the movie, and now a power operating against Persia's successor is the one learning the exact same lesson.

The idea being floated around by Trump circles is that sending a small contingent of US troops only to Iran’s shores will reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Also the shores in question…

I’m sad now January 6th. People were jailed. Fired from their jobs. Lost friends. Waited hours in line for rallies. Campaigned. Bought hats and flags. Defended him. Stayed glued to the screen cheering him on. An entire decade. All for nothing.

@atrupar I wonder if it's his son or his stepson. He has both. I can't help but think of the father of three of his stepchildren and the mother to three of his kids who he shares custody with. I'd hate to co-parent with this man.

Our neighbors invited us to their 4 year old sons bday last min yesterday so I ran to the store to grab a gift and I got him a stomp rocket because those are the best boy outdoor toys. I went outside to walk my dogs this morning and I saw the kids all outside playing with the stomp rocket 😂
