The UAE will show the world what strength is made of. The UAE will show the EU and NATO how to be brave. The UAE will make sure the Islamic regime in Iran never, ever targets us again. Never again. We lead. We protect. We win. And the Middle East moves forward without Islamist terrorists.

Don’t want to be that guy, but you’re wrong, not for the reasons you think you are though. The American Journalist school of writing has determined that quotes can be used to summarize people without being word for word quotations, for the last 20 years this has been taught in schools. They basically rewrote the rules of English grammar to do this but now it is the new codified norm.

These days, there is a huge trend going around to be aware of. Accounts will post a fake quote, that allegedly came from an interview, but in reality, it's completely made up. In this case, Carlson never said the claimed quote about Sharia Law. If you watch the cited clip or the full interview he never actually says these words (he only parenthetically mentions Sharia at one point). Quotation marks are supposed to be used to convey direct quotes. Not general ideas or interpretation. In fact, for the younger crowd, quotation marks are so powerful to get exactly correct, that we often use the word [sic] to describe literally exactly what was stated, even if it was a misspelled word. That's how important it is to quote someone's words correctly. But now, a lot of people are using quotation marks to *summarize* an argument (often incorrectly), which is not only a complete mockery of the English language, but is also gaslighting of the highest degree. This has become a huge trend, and we have to call out this manipulation directly whenever we see it, regardless of who the person is. We can disagree with a person, to be sure, but we cannot falsely attribute to anyone words they never actually said. Fake quotes can absolutely have dire consequences, especially during a time of war.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp says the US needs to completely transform its education system to prioritize highly technical vocational training: "Germany has three [types of] high schools. Two are vocational. One is academic. Vocational training has a bad, weird vibe here [in the USA]. Vocational training in Germany is very technical. The people building the cars at BMW or even in the French version of Airbus, very complicated jobs. They didn't go to college. They went to a very, very high end high school. "They come out without any debt. And that stuff is really valuable. So you have to completely transform our educational system and go very young into training people to do things. You also need to change our testing system. All of our tests are built around things that were valuable in the industrial revolution. It's like you want to pull out all the dyslexics, all the neurodivergents. Everybody who can't sit or needs to build or wants to build have to go into a separate slot." "Yeah, we should have gotten you before you got turned down at Goldman, that's a waste of your time. You could be building something important." Credit @tbpn Follow: @WallStreetMav

WOW 🚨 I just fact checked this and it’s true “California has 40 million people in it. Of those 40 million people, 17.5 million pay taxes, less than half” This is why California is Blue California has become a welfare state. This is why the people who do pay taxes in California pay some of the highest taxes in the nation The 200 billionaires in California’s pay $3-6 billion per year in taxes

“There is going to be job displacement.” “We’re going to see 100% of driving go away by humans.” “That’s 15 million people in the United States who are employed.” “That is going to happen. Yes?” NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang answered: “I think that jobs will change.” “I believe that many of those chauffeurs will actually be in the car sitting behind the steering wheel while the car is driving by itself.” “And so I wouldn’t be surprised, actually, if the chauffeurs of the future become your mobility assistant.” “They are helping you do a whole bunch of other stuff. But the car’s driving by itself.”

A breakthrough in real-time video generation. As a research preview developed with @NVIDIA and shared at @NVIDIAGTC this week, we trained a new real-time video model running on Vera Rubin. HD videos generate instantly, with time-to-first-frame under 100ms. Unlocking an entirely new creative paradigm and bolstering the foundations of our General World Model, GWM-1. Real-time generation opens a fundamentally different design space for video models and world simulation. We're investing in co-designing our models alongside advances in hardware to keep pushing this frontier.

Just so we are all on the same page... There was never a housing problem. There was an illegal immigration problem. There was never a debt problem. There was a fraud problem. There was never a border problem. There was an enforcement problem. There was never a crime problem. There was a prosecution problem. There was never a homelessness problem. There was a fraudulent NGO problem. There was never a failing school system problem. There was an indoctrination problem. There was never a funding problem. There was a theft problem. There was never a healthcare affordability problem. There was an illegal alien free-load problem. There was never an American dream problem. There was a Democrat problem.

@jimlwolf @TheStudyofWar Correct...they are not saying success or failure...exactly right. Too early to state. You had issues with them saying declaring it an operational failure was off target...they are correct. It's way too early to claim either at this point.

NEW | Special Report: The war in Iran is currently in a phase in which the military trajectory is relatively positive: the United States is steadily destroying Iran’s ability to use its most essential tool in the war — drone and missile attacks — which in turn underpin the entire Iranian strategy. Iran has still done some damage to US forces, and it is still firing drones and missiles, though the overall attack rate is slowly decreasing. These attacks still pale in comparison to the major attacks Iran sought to conduct in an existential war and have caused neither operationally significant damage nor widespread casualties. The US-Israeli combined force will need time to achieve its military objectives and prevent Iran from inflicting further political and economic pain upon the United States and its allies in the region, but the campaign remains incomplete, and it is too soon to forecast its outcome. Declaring it an operational failure is unquestionably premature.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 BREAKING | The Pentagon is moving a Marine expeditionary unit to the Middle East as Iran steps up attacks on the Strait of Hormuz, according to two US officials. U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has approved a request from Central Command for the unit, typically consisting of up to 2,500 Marines. The move comes as Iranian strikes on the strait have paralysed traffic through the strategic waterway, disrupting the global economy and driving up gas prices.
