All due respect to Danny Rohl and the job he has done so far but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind, Steven Gerrard would be the Rangers manager right now if Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart weren’t the ones he was talking to in the recruitment process.
It might never come out what went on but this is a man who was eager to return to Ibrox.
