Many #COVID patients are not used to or have never been hospitalized. They are scared, alone and fearful. Take the extra time to hold your patient’s hand, talk about their fears, and explain what is happening. Chat about life/hobbies to keep the mood up. It’s worth it. #acutePT

Just a reminder that we still teach chest PT and it should remain a basic competency for us, even though many of those pulmonary and respiratory health functions have been taken over by others in interprofessional turf wars, the weirdness of which is exposed in times like these.

@StevieCoombs @APTASA I think it depends on how your department structures your skill checks prior to the comprehensive exam. Our skill checks were relatively laid back but our comprehensives were 10x as serious so it was a “novel stimulus”, if you will. So it was scary compared to written exams!
