So there was a fire this week in the flat next to ours. The robot vacuum cleaner was set to clean whilst they were away and it got stuck under a bookcase and eventually caught fire . Luckily nobody hurt but extensive damage from sprinklers / fire / hoses.

Please will someone explain the point of hospital league tables? They seem to target the wrong thing: relative performance instead of absolute quality. We want all hospitals to be good: so measure how good they are. It doesn’t matter whether one is better than another.
