There's too little discussion of the fact that, even if AI were to achieve the highest possible performance on all tasks soon, or start to peter off near that maximum level, that would by no means mean the end of "AI progress" if you include speed of inference in the equation.

@Darren_Mooney I think we've seen 2, 3 and 5 on screen. Not sure how many years canonically have passed since the Netflix show (and really it would be silly to try and fully unify these timelines) but it's not impossible the others are from his off screen years I suppose
