@favoga_ Yes, it became me and my brothers personality. The music, the cinematics, the minigames, the characters, the scope of the adventure, the THEMES (saving the planet from greedy corporations, love, death, finding oneself etc) all resonated with us STRONGLY as 8-10 year olds.

I've gotten the "pointless/waste/underwhelming/etc" comments, with my NES to SNES ports over the past 5 years. Do whatever makes you happy, brings you joy. You can't please everyone, not everyone will see eye to eye with you, with anything you do in life. If people like the work you do, that's great, if not, well, that's fine too. I'm a family man as well, and my kids have played every single port, and play them over their original NES versions, heh.

Someone said that our Sega Dreamcast ports were a pointless waste of time today and that nobody will play them… Meet my son, who was the first kid to ever play Mario 64, Doom 64, Mario Kart 64, Starfox 64, Sonic Mania, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City, and now The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time—some of my all-time favorite games from childhood—on my favorite console, the Sega Dreamcast, for his first play-throughs… and his little sister plays with us as well. Despite the fact that we actually do have a thriving homebrew scene of people playing and supporting us, I could not give less of a shit if anyone else plays them or appreciates the work… This is all the validation I need.

@eStarland 2012 was kinda legendary for me at least thousands of hours in raid mode for Revelations, another few hundred in uprising, VLR is so fucking good, and nsmb2 while super mediocre was cozy af at work when I just wanted to press buttons

Last month I shaved my 44 year old head. I let it grow out again for a month. But my hairline sucks. And its not coming back as thick. So do I shave it again. Or let it ride ?

Esta es mi tier list de Resident Evil basado en los que me han divertido y son legados (no los mejores). - No tienen orden, solo en los tier - A pesar que RE2R se cae en la narrativa de los escenarios, es divertido de jugar. - Pueden preguntarme el porque de las decisiones :D

Time for Sakura Wars I've never played this franchise before It's always been on my list. The first 10 minutes just showed me that the cutscenes animation looks so smooth and character designs so cute. Hopefully I can see all of the routes in one playthrough.

@StandUserFollow @MightyMog80 I think overcoming tedium is an accomplishment and skill in itself. Learning a new song can be tedious but its rewarding at the end of the day. Obviously the reward in the jump rope situation is overcoming the challenge itself but truly its the journey thats fun imo

@jjmini44 @MightyMog80 I do agree to an extent but you gotta admit that jump rope 1000 times with a shifting rhythm is completely tedious especially when the reward means nothing. I’ll do the FFX thunder dodging 100 more times than jump rope king, at least I’d get something

@StandUserFollow @MightyMog80 id also like to say that I dont think ALL FF gamers are bad just an observation I've seen from the community is that they seem to struggle with things that are tests of skill. I understand RPGs typically don't have that outside of battle strategy but its interesting to me
