Jamie Benn opening door and Jake Middleton jumping out through the door as Marvin Bourque, who put Middleton on the bench, waits for Middleton to leave so he can then go through that open door … is legit funny

Habs-Lightning is at 7 p.m. Bruins-Sabres is at 7:30. ESPN has both games. It works fine. So please explain why fans in the Central Time Zone have to wait until 8:52 p.m. (again) tomorrow night when there's just one earlier game? God forbid a kid watch a hockey game.

There are no words to express how heartbroken we all are. Jessi Pierce (Hinrichs) was the most vibrant person - the life of the party, always with a smile on her face, always bringing a passion to every article and podcast and interview she did. Jessi simply loved covering the Wild and hockey throughout Minnesota and had a way of brightening everyone’s day with her upbeat, bubbly personality. I have literally NEVER met anybody that had a way of being EVERYBODY’s friend. More than anything, she absolutely loved Hudson, Cayden and Avery and was the greatest mother who did everything she could to bring joy to her sweetest kids. Even at Friday’s practice in her beloved Iowa State sweatshirt, she was so excited to take them to the seasonal opening of Cup and Cone in WBL. Seeing those precious pics yesterday, she provided them with another incredibly fun and loving day. My heart breaks for Mike for the loss of his wife and children and Jessi’s family, friends and colleagues for this unimaginable loss. This hockey community lost a wonderful, energetic and one of a kind voice and story teller and Grade A person. Life can be unbearably unfair sometimes, and it’s impossible to make sense of this tragedy. Please keep Jessi and her beautiful kids in your thoughts and prayers. I wish Mike all the peace and support and happiness in the world. A lot of tears were shed at the arena yesterday. We, in the Wild media and inside the Wild, will miss seeing Jessi everyday, laughing with her everyday. The press box and press room won’t be the same without her. It’ll be a lot quieter, a lot less funny. But her passion and joy for covering this hockey team and sport will remain. Sorry for the length of this, but as Jessi knew better than most as my original Athletic “backup” and somebody who always gave me Minnesota Hockey Journal deadline extensions, as she used to joke, I’m incapable of writing tight. Especially about her. RIP Jessi, Hudson, Cayden and Avery. 🙏💔

Colin Dorgan scored four goals during BVS' playoff run - including the game-tying goal to force OT in the championship game tonight. Before that, he only had two in his high school career. How does he explain it? "Throughout all of the playoffs, even in this game, in the overtimes, I truly felt it in my heart, in my soul that they're still with me." @NBC10

Incredible. 🥹 Colin Dorgan, the young man who lost three family members in a shooting at a hockey rink last month, scored the tying goal tonight to send the Rhode Island state championship game to OT. His team won the state title in the 4th OT. Heartbreaking. Heartwarming.
Branden Mello@Branden_Mello

We. Are. Tied. With 32.2 seconds left in the third period, Blackstone Valley Schools ties it up on a Colin Dorgan shot. His 4th goal in the last 3 games.

Hard to believe this all was real. What a run. Thank you to these seniors for leading this program. They've put the team on the map. The other coaches on our staff are unreal, and I'm thrilled to work with them daily. Underclassmen, now the work begins to get back! #RollStorm

Not the ending we wanted, but couldn’t be more proud of this group of guys. They trusted the process and chose to stay and play with their lifelong teammates. Thank you to this group of seniors for their leadership and showing the state what Storm Hockey is all about!

He’d insist the attention tonight be on the Edina & Chanhassen players competing for a championship… …but part of tonight just has to be saluting @NanneLou calling his last game, closing out 60 years broadcasting the State Hockey Tourney. The State of Hockey thanks you, Lou.

When I moved to Minnesota, I was told going to @MSHSL state hockey tournament was a “bucket list” event. Why this is the “State of Hockey.” Being here to see standing-room only, 20,000-plus crowd for final, it’s pretty incredible. As advertised.
