@maremisar I just heard that Ford is meeting later today with his cabinet to discuss possibly opening things up sooner. So maybe this is why Ontario parks is cancelling in small increments

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks will be extending the temporary closure of campground and backcountry campsites and roofed accommodations, like cabins, yurts and cottages at all Ontario provincial parks up to and including June 7 at this time. 1/4

@maremisar @OntarioParks They have? My sister just got cancelled up to June 8 but I have camping June 9-14 and haven’t been cancelled yet. This is all so confusing.

@OntarioParks Wasn’t it already closed until June 16th? They already cancelled my camping trip that was on the 13-15th.

@EmilyProvPark Just received an email from Ontario parks implying you are opening June 8 for overnight stays, is this true?

We are allowing our day use area to return to a natural shoreline to preserve its ecological integrity. Our staff closely monitor our park and have observed changes that indicate this area is no longer suitable to maintain as a swimming beach.
