🌱 Growing a Greener Tomorrow Visakha Container Terminal continues its commitment to sustainability with the second phase of its large-scale plantation drive at Andhra University on 7th April 2026. Building on the success of the first phase, which saw 500 saplings planted with a remarkable 100 percent survival rate, the initiative now expands into a four-acre green belt with over 1,000 trees. The plantation features a diverse mix of species including mango, neem, kadamba, mahogany and tabebuia, carefully selected to enhance biodiversity, improve air quality and create a sustainable green cover within the campus. With an estimated carbon sequestration potential of over 90 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually, the initiative represents a meaningful step towards reducing environmental impact.
