@PeterSchiff People who earn tips are generally less compensated on wages. But, to answer your question, no- they are not less deserving which is where income tax cuts come into play.
Republicans are saying that it's important that people who work hard for tips be allowed to keep more of what they earn. What about all the people who work just as hard, or harder, but who don't earn tips? Why are they less deserving of being able to keep more of what they earn?
BREAKING: Iran’s Foreign Minister has said: As of now, there is NO "agreement" on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations. However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.
Elect a moron, expect other countries to capitalize.
Iran moved its nuclear materials weeks ago because Einstein was telegraphing his attack on Twitter.
Congratulations Chanticleers
Your entire fanbase should be commended on the support.
Hold your heads high. You got cheated by a program that not only had to pay players insane $$$ to win, but also paid off umps & broadcasters to glaze Tigguh meat for two days. 🤢🤮🤮🤮
My dad has gone to be with the Lord today! He will be missed but we know he is in good hands, and our family is good because God is very good! We will see him again! #PhilRobertson#Jesus
About 98% of American footwear is imported. There is no way these shoes can be supplied domestically anytime soon, so prices will rise by the full amount of the tariffs. The result will be fewer shoes sold at higher prices. On the bright side, the shoe repair business will boom.
@PeterSchiff You miss the whole point of the tariffs…it’s about leverage. We have the leverage as the biggest consumer. Yes prices can increase, but that brings more domestic production, thus increasing our domestic economic impact
The idea that foreigners are going to pay our tariffs is absurd. They will not pay us to take their stuff. Tariffs will be paid by American consumers. Either they will pay higher prices, or they will go without the goods. Our trading partners will consume their own production.
Effective tomorrow, Trump will impose 25% tariffs on all products Americans buy from Canada and Mexico, and 10% tariffs on all products they buy from China. Assuming no exemptions, that's a $250 billion tax increase on Americans, which equates to about $2K per household per year.
@BarbraStreisand What’s school of business did you attend? In what working knowledge do you speak of tariffs? Have you ran a country? A company? A lemonade stand?
Donald Trump apparently graduated from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. Was he paying attention in class? Because last night he brought up tariffs as a solution to lower grocery prices. This is the opposite of what will happen because tariffs will only raise prices for consumers in the store.
So again, drop the hypocrisy and realize that the dangerous rhetoric is from all sides. I have hundreds of clips. I can share one each day if I have to to prove my point to all sides.
Again, this is for those who claim the dangerous rhetoric comes only from one side: Trump's Veterans Day speech in November 2023: "In honor of our great veterans on Veterans Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country—those who lie, steal, and cheat on elections. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave than the threat from within."
Because I watch and record virtually all campaign speeches and clip many of them, I can say that most rallies are difficult to watch. Both sides consistently paint the other as dangerous and even deadly. I have countless clips featuring dangerous rhetoric from all sides. In Trump’s case, statements like the one here are a regular feature at his rallies, though many people don’t watch them, so they may not be aware of this. The reality is that both sides spread dangerous rhetoric and hate. Lowering the temperature starts with acknowledging that this problem doesn’t belong to just one side, even though each side tends to blame the other.
@simonateba@realDonaldTrump@taylorswift13 No one cares who Taylor Swift votes for, and also no one cares what Trump posts. He’s Trump! But he’s clearly better suited to be president than Harris and it’s not even close. We care about our economy and our country.
@VivekRammaswamy@elonmusk@realDonaldTrump Trump doesn't have policies. A policy is where you bring a goal to fruition. All Trump has are lies that he forgets about soon after saying them.
Using this grown-up definition, please name a policy of the Orange-Tub-of-Crap's that he thought up and then actually implemented.
It’s revealing that the Harris campaign refrains from attacking Trump’s policies—they likely understand how effective his strategies are. Harris, lacking in originality, has already borrowed Trump’s tax on tips proposal. Perhaps they’re hesitant to criticize his policies too much, knowing they might end up adopting them later. The irony is almost laughable.
Part 2
How high can the price go. Way higher than you think. Remember, the market for BTC is global. And the supply has a final limit of 21m BTC, with unlimited fractionalization.
Keep that in mind as you consider what happens if because of geopolitical uncertainty and the decline of the dollar as the reserve currency, BTC becomes a “safe haven” globally. Which means that BTC could be what countries and all of us look to buy as a means to protect our savings.
Crazy ? It already happens in countries facing hyperinflation.
And if things really go further than we can imagine today (and I’m not saying they will. Just that this has a possibility somewhere above zero) , then BTC becomes exactly what the Maxis envision. A global currency
Part 1
Here is a contrary opinion on the emergence of Silicon Valley support for former President Trump. Which like all my opinions on here, probably won’t be popular.
It’s a bitcoin play.
Not because the former President is a far stronger proponent of crypto. That’s nice. But doesn’t really impact the price of crypto. It makes it easier to operate a crypto business because of the inevitable, and required, changes at the SEC
What will drive the price of BTC is lower tax rates and tariffs, which if history is any guide (and it’s not always ), will be inflationary.
Combine that with global uncertainty as to the geopolitical role of the USA, and the impact on the US Dollar as a reserve currency, and you can’t align the stars any better for a BTC price acceleration

the last 6-12 months i've believed i was going to abstain from voting in the upcoming election because the options are equally terrible
but watching Trump survive an assassination attempt and act like a total fucking savage just shifted me into some strange, patriotic gear that my fancy-feminism-white-men-bad infected brain never showed me
like, the dude took a bullet and stood up with blood dripping down his face, and rallied a fucking crowd while fist pumping, yelling "FIGHT!"
sorry, but i'm voting for that.

@mcuban After this extremely long tweet in response to a position that’s almost as laughable as Biden’s itself, I’ve lost almost all respect for you, Mark. (Not all!)
