🇺🇸 Savannah Hernandez just shared that she has a concussion after getting assaulted by protesters while covering an anti-ICE rally.
She ended up canceling all her media interviews today because she’s been dealing with bad headaches, dizziness, and feeling lightheaded.
Doctors confirmed it.
She also said it’s been really tough emotionally having to keep rewatching and retelling what happened.
Getting physically attacked just for doing journalism is straight-up wrong. No one should have to go through that.

Being vocal online in this hyper-polarized world is getting dangerous. Most recently, we've seen two wild examples: - Streamer Sneako got aggressively confronted and threatened in NYC while livestreaming. - Conservative journalist Savannah Hernandez was assaulted (pushed to the ground) by protesters while covering an anti-ICE demonstration in Minneapolis. Whether you're on the left, right, or somewhere in between, saying the “wrong” thing (or even just recording/filming) can turn into real-world confrontation or violence fast. Be careful out there. The internet isn’t as consequence-free as it used to be.

President Trump attacking the Catholic Church is completely unwarranted and extremely distasteful.
He should be well aware that Catholics account for at least half of the MAGA base. Catholics, like myself, got him elected and many staff his administration.
Messaging like this is only going to hurt GOP turnout in the midterms.
