That Christians often cry "But eyewitnesses!" makes one wonder why they aren't equally swayed by the 11 eyewitnesses to Joseph Smith's golden plates and God's affirmation of the Book of Mormon. There are more first-person "eyewitness" testimonies for Mormonism than Christianity.

@RonSCantor They no longer believed that the Law was the basis of righteousness, circumcision was no longer required, believed that dietary and purity laws were loosened, now included Gentiles (without becoming Jews). So they didn't renounce it, but they weren't exactly normal Jews.

As James makes plain in this video, the Rooney Rule doesn’t require hiring anyone. It very literally just requires you to interview 2 people who are not white men. Just 2. You can still interview 15 white dudes be in compliance.

@PastorTrey05 Interesting verse choice of Acts 16:36, because in that passage Paul doesn’t just 'go in peace.' He pushes back on what he sees as unjust treatment and refuses to let it be quietly dismissed.
