Hamed Mehrabkhani Arrested in Tabriz On 18 February 2026, Mr. Hamed Mehrabkhani, a Bahá’í resident of Qazvin and approximately 32 years old, was arrested by security forces at his sister’s home in Tabriz and taken to an undisclosed location. During the arrest, officers who identified themselves as affiliated with intelligence agencies searched the residence and confiscated multiple electronic devices belonging to his sister, Mrs. Jaleh Mehrabkhani, and her husband, Mr. Bahman Shokouhi, including mobile phones and laptops. Since the time of his arrest, no information has been provided regarding the detaining authority, his location, or his legal status, despite repeated inquiries by his family. Mr. Mehrabkhani has been denied telephone contact with his relatives, and his family is unable to confirm his condition.
