Montreal is up 2-1 with 7 shots to Tampa’s 24. What a sport. Entertaining
Geoff Schwartz@geoffschwartz
Middle 2P and Tampa has a 19-4 shot advantage and is losing 1-0. Tough

@Matty_KCSN I foresee some changes as guys get cut. Thomas # is terrible for an Edge rusher. I keep thinking RB ... Walter Payton, Thurman Thomas, Earl Campbell, etc.

Two hours of rain and lightning and they somehow must have broken a Major League Baseball lightning rule as they played through. Finally when the Royals started a rally, Los Angeles asked for the delay. Very interesting. #KCRoyals #Lightning

The tarp is coming on the field. Brutal timing for the #Royals.

@coopuhscoopuh There are a couple of OT's worth a call. Not comfortable with the depth of that group.

Which of the Chiefs 2026 draft picks do you think will surpass expectations the most?

@MitchSchwartz71 95+% of draft boards are just parroting or heavily influenced by someone else's analysis/work. It's super lazy and increasingly uninteresting. Team/culture/need/scheme fit (and coaching competency) is a giant factor in predicting first contract success.
English

Going to weigh in on the consensus board chatter. The stubbornness of the people who push it away has many layers, and I’m sure I’m still missing some, but here’s a few:
1) Don’t care to learn how the board comes to be (aka a lot more qualified people who do this professionally and not casual fans)
2) Unwilling to listen to historical data of how reaches have fared relative to the consensus board (despite loving their own historical data of physical traits and shying away from outliers 🤷♂️)
3) The belief that they are better than “media” members at scouting and creating draft boards
4) The belief that the 32 NFL scouting staffs are all the best people in the world at this and if anyone else knew better they’d be hired
5) Anecdotal evidence of a team (or teams) that doesn’t use the consensus board
6) A fatigue of draft analysis and grading due to a team’s picks relative to the consensus board (plus positional value). I myself am pretty fatigued by draft analysis because I feel like we’re reaching a sameness of thought, even if it might be more right than the way we used to think. It just becomes boring when it’s the same stuff over and over with reaches, trade downs, and positional value
What else am I missing?
Arif Hasan, but NFL 🏈@ArifHasanNFL
I don't understand this. Last year, you gave draft grades on players selected in the first round, including several D grades (nfl.com/news/grading-a…). Why are you allowed to give you give your grades but balk when others do it using a version of our collective work and wisdom?
English

@Farzin21 It'll be Hunt. Change resistance can be a powerful thing. The old broken-in shoe with the worn out sole is just more comfortable than the brand new pair you just purchased.
English

@Schultz_Report Getting steals = taking players who fell according to people that genuinely have no clue. That how most people judge a draft. "Consensus value" of 30th best prospect taken at # 55 automatically makes it a good pick. It's lazy and inaccurate.
English

@TomPelissero I peep MidAmerica Nazarene University there. A little Heart action.
English

@ReidOptionKC Injuries will happen. Most expendable seems to be Smith on the surface.
English

@marcuslemonis Kansas ... Just a hop, skip and a jump across the state line.
English

@Schultz_Report ... especially given the ACL surgery on the same knee.
English

@Schultz_Report The bone plug in the knee that is likely to fail at any minute is of no concern.

One GM told me earlier in the week that Jermod McCoy was an “All-Pro caliber player” when the evaluated him two years ago.
Jordan Schultz@Schultz_Report
Pick is in: #Raiders have selected Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy, per sources. The wait is over for a very, very talented player.
English

@ArrowheadLive Lol. I do, but if you care that much, subscribe and read about them for yourself.
English

@jmoore37 So you don’t actually know what those red flags are?
