@dotcomrealty @andrewrosener Have a friend who moved there for very early retirement. I assume you are kidding, but they don't run the registry themselves. I think there is 1 guy physically there. They need to lower their prices or become irrelevant. I price all .ai names lowww

I agree with the .ai burst. It's the country code for Anguilla in the Caribbean. I've sailed to Anguilla many times - they are in the stone age (touristy villas, but zero infrastructure). They were using carbon paper to make copies at the Customs and Immigration office. You know - the ones they used in school in like the 70's? They did not own a copy machine. They are ass backwards, and will just keep raising the fees every year until it implodes. That's what they do there - trust me. I know the people there very well. Corruption runs the show.

I believe that we may be entering the largest parabolic rise in domain name values in their entire history of existence. We have probably just entered the 3rd inning (of 9 innings for those who don't know baseball). There will be an ai bubble break, there will be company failures at scale, there will be rough patches of illiquidity... But if you look at ahead 5 years and probably 10 years, domain names are going to be the single most valuable asset on MOST companies balance sheets. I say that for 2 reasons: 1. The importance of your domain name will rise exponentially as trust and brand become the only distinguishing and competitive factors in most businesses, particularly consumer facing businesses. 2. Those companies that do NOT have a strong brand and comparable domain name will likely fail in those time horizons, giving way to survivorship bias. Thus MOST companies that still exist in 5-10 years will have extremely valuable domain names, and those will likely be their most valuable assets.

Can someone explain how registering and managing domains via API is some sort of new or revolutionary thing? I think this has been done for 25 years, in the exact same way? thenewstack.io/godaddy-develo…

@jn I know they’ve done it, and are still doing it, in search results, but it’s not a good experience for me.

The browser address bar disappears tomorrow. Do domains become less valuable or more valuable than ever? 🤔

A few weeks ago I introduced NAIS (Network Agent Identity Standard), an open standard for giving agents a trusted identity connected to a domain. Today, NameSilo is taking the next step. Agents can now be launched on your own domain using NAIS infrastructure. Live example: agent.kristaps.com Validate it here: nais.id/validate/?doma… The future of the internet will not just be websites. It will be agents with their own identity. Built on open standards. #NAIS #AI #Agents @namesilo

@katerleonid oh cause google experimented with only displaying the domain name and not the full address. To me that seems like a nicer experience if it is the default.

can we please eliminate the entire phrase, and concept, of "aged domain name". This is not 2004, i am pretty certain you aren't fooling anyone with this absurd notion anymore. Are you really going to monetize and 301 their backlinks? Or, better yet, just stop with "SEO" it is ridiculous in 2026.

@nglaix @TonyNames @jamesiles is there an actual reason they are doing this? I can't even get a batch of names off of their stuck/pending status, let alone relist them. At what point do godaddy/afternic customers just get so annoyed at the broken systems and technical debt in every service they sell?

@TonyNames This would be a welcome feature @JamesIles. Hard to keep track when names are removed from a portfolio. Sedo/Spaceship both have email alerts when a name is removed from listings.

Sold a name via Sedo. Namecheap feed Afternic name server I should have paid 15% via afternic but the good folks at afternic even after repeated complaints will not give an audit log of names they will remove from the portfolio for no reason. I mean it is a full time job just relisting names and I stopped trying Even Sedo gives a lot names that they removed. How hard can it be.

Hey @atomHQ i am reading the outbound material on your site and it says, "Outreach is factual and low-key: we let them know the owner has listed the domain for sale on Atom. No pressure tactics." Can we opt in to high pressure tactics? I really need some sales.

@katerleonid But You should not have the .ai if your business has nothing to do with ai, or if only tangentially related. Do not AI wash things.

@katerleonid You need the .com, the .ai, and the ccTLDs of the countries your market exists in, except .us, because .com is a given.
