Average consumers are basically everyone around us, your mom, dad, teacher, boss, even tech enthusiasms, when it comes to buy things, and when it comes to the territory people are not familiar with, they are then defined as average consumer imo, it's not about a person being broke or rich af, they will buy stuff and over/under pay for features they do/don't need because they are not familiar with, and that can be a camera head over pay for a freaking expensive mattress, or a general contractor over pay for a foldable phones, or a tech enthusiasm over pay for bathroom remodeling. They are average consumer in those cases because they are not familiar with the territory thus they are more vulnerable to the marketing terms like the greatest... the best...the fastest... the top of the line.. and that's why influencers on all the platforms do what they do.
