Here’s what to do next: 🔹 Stay composed. Coaches aren’t just watching for stats—they’re observing how you handle failure, pressure, and adversity. 🔹 Hustle and attitude still matter. Did you sprint on and off the field? Pick up your teammates? Stay locked in even after an error? That matters to coaches. 🔹 Follow up. Send a thank-you message to the coach who came to watch. Be honest—acknowledge it wasn’t your best game, but emphasize your work ethic and invite them to watch you again. 🔹 Stay ready. One game doesn’t define you. Keep putting in the work, control what you can, and be prepared for the next opportunity. Had a great adjustment at the plate this weekend in Tallahassee! Out of 6 games and 14 ABs, I had an AVG. of .500, 7 RBIs, and got a 💣 to CF. Didn’t have much action behind the plate, though. However, I got some work in at 3rd. 🚨REAL TALK for Travel Ball Athletes: Getting Recruited Doesn’t Just Happen🚨 You’ve probably heard it before: “If you’re good, coaches will find you.” But here’s the truth… Getting recruited doesn’t just happen. Let’s look at the numbers: 🔹 Only about 7% of high school softball players go on to play in college. 🔹 Of those, less than 2% will play at the Division 1 level. So if you’re dreaming of that scholarship, that commitment post, that uniform with your college’s name on it—you’ve got to do more than just show up and play. Recruiting is a process. A strategy. A hustle. Here’s what you should be doing NOW if you want to wear that college jersey later: 💥 Create a standout skills video. Highlight your strengths and keep it short and impactful. 💥 Be proactive. Don’t wait for coaches to “notice you.” Reach out. Introduce yourself. Send emails. Tag your highlights. Build relationships. 💥 Know your WHY and your FIT. What kind of school do you want? What level? Academics matter. Campus culture matters. Find the right place for YOU. 💥 Make your presence known. When you’re at tournaments, show up like it’s your job. Hustle. Cheer. Compete. College coaches aren’t just watching your skills—they’re watching your attitude, effort, and energy. 💥 Stay committed.
