@DougRobersonAJC The only actual “icon” we’ve had is Josef and we all saw how this club treated him on his exit. Almiron and Guzan can only claim legend status at best, and Brad just barely gets over that line cause he’s been here pretty much the entire existence of the franchise.

I’m laying most of the blame on Garth for not cleaning house day one and allowing that standard to continue on — 29 wins out of the last 100 matches mostly on his watch.

Signings like this were crucial. Julian Gressel started 29 games, easily most among outfield players, and his 12 assists trailed only Lionel Messi for the team-lead.
Gressel complements Messi and co., but also could take creative burden when Messi was out.

@DougRobersonAJC Maybe they should’ve fired Bocanegra for his roster building 2-3 years ago back when people started saying he was the problem instead of letting him keep running this into the ground. Now this team is an afterthought and can only brag about half empty stadiums being a “sell out”.

@RobUsry Gotta give Garth time, he just needs 2-3 windows to move on from the dead weight and then another 2-3 more to replace them. We’ll be competing again by 2030 after the team moves to 5/3 Bank Stadium full time after only drawing ~5k per match at MBS after the 15th roster rebuild.
