@AlexCarrMLB That’s fair. I think Miller’s inability to even get on a field, and Painter getting shelled in the minors, had us all extra jumpy 😂

@jnklein1978 With the advancements made in early player development (kids throwing harder, trying to optimize every part of their game, etc.) injuries are just becoming more common in the amateur landscape. Unless an injury is recurring, it honestly doesn't concern me in the slightest.

The two things I outlined in my Draft Primer that the Phillies desperately needed injected into their system were power and starting pitching depth. Their first five picks addressed precisely those needs. I'm not sure I'd give them an emphatic A+, but Day One was a decent start.

Encouraging Painter outing yesterday for the IronPigs. They’ve clearly worked on getting him more synced up between his upper half and lower half and he looks more explosive down the mound. Didn’t walk anyone, FB had life to it and thought he had great downward action on that split. I know you can say, “it’s the minor leagues, who cares?” Well, Painter also never had the success at AAA that you usually see before getting called up. Good steps forward.

@ChiSoxFanMike I think you treat him like the Phillies are treating Andrew Painter (a team in a similar situation to the Sox record wise) - send him down and let him gather his confidence back. He’s got the stuff - it’s a mental and mechanics fix he needs and then he’ll be back

The White Sox are in a bind with Noah Schultz. It’s way too early to give up on him, but he also probably isn’t the best option if the goal is to win games. Not sure where you go from here.
