@wicklowwomen4w1 I suspect that the only reason he attended the conference was to avail of the opportunity to defend trans ideology. I heard his interview with Peadar Toibín - he was quite unsympathetic to GC views. I was disappointed for ye when I heard he was the only journalists there.

Well, this is a perfect example of what we're up against. Middle-aged male journalist comes to our conference, listens to the first two sessions and then, I understand, leaves at lunchtime. He seems to accept the points made in those sessions, but then veers off into 'be kind' territory. In short, he has completely missed the point. The basic starting point for those of us who oppose the Gender Recognition Act is that sex is real and that sex matters. The GRA destroys biological reality to prioritise feelings. It's as simple as that. Mick Clifford seems to expect that women, through "compassion", ought to make concessions in our sex-based rights to accommodate men, who already have their own sex-based rights. Ours as well as their own? While they make us a subset of our own sex? In what world is that fair? He goes on to downplay all the growing evidence that men's profession of being "really a woman" is rarely genuine. In fact, approximately 90% of such men are not driven to obtain a GRC because of so-called 'gender distress' but to get sexual kicks. What used to be known as fetishes. Perhaps that doesn't matter to Mr Clifford. It matters to us. We had hoped for unbiased coverage of the conference. Instead we got more of the same old, same old. We're only women. Our job is to show compassion, to be compliant, to give up our few safe spaces to men. Really? @irishexaminer @Mickcliff irishexaminer.com/opinion/column…

This is a point that bears repeating @rtenews is perfectly entitled to frame any news story in the manner of their choosing. But they should not be allowed to force the rest of us to pay them for the privilege.

On International Women’s Day @RTEnews Six One runs report on women’s day event in Belfast and interviews an Iranian academic in a hijab BUT ignores major @wicklowwomen4w1 conference in Dublin on how gender self ID harms women’s rights. Conference featured @HJoyceGender @stellaomalley3 @AdamsSandr4794 and many other notable women. @rtenews @kevinbakhurst are a disgrace. @JillKerby @paddyjogorman @sjholmesirl @obyrness

@TheDagda___ @thejournal_ie Or perhaps, keep to the original meaning of gender and reject the one imposed on us by gender ideology. Repealing the Gender Recognition Act would be a good start.

@TheDagda___ @thejournal_ie The Istanbul Convention which aims to prevent violence against women and domestic violence defines gender-based violence as that against women. Gender was used correctly then- G ideology has muddied the waters. ‘Sex- based violence’ implies violent sexual acts.

@OdohertyI64991 It sounds more like an apology on behalf of Grok. There really is no sincerity in it.

He made a mistake, he apologised and is entitled to move on. If someone holds their hand up in good faith and apologises it should be accepted.
Cllr. John Burtchaell- Solidarity@BurtchaellJohn

I'm now become aware that Grok incorrectly attributed the first X posting of an image of a tricolour coloured football with an antisemitic slogan as below to @Alan__Shatter so I've deleted my post which referenced this error to correct the record. Apologies for the mistake.

@AnMailleach My first thought when I heard RTE report ‘a woman shooter’ on its 7am bulletin was that it was a trans shooter. We cannot trust the state broadcaster to tell the truth- so captured by this insane ideology it is blind and reckless to the irreparable damage to its reputation.

@DrDominicGreen @PatKennyNT I just listened to it (it was unedited) and nowhere does PK justify October 7th. That’s a pretty scurrilous accusation to level at him. You really should back it up.

Booked for live interview by @PatKennyNT. Producer switches it to pre-recorded. Pat tried to justify Oct 7, denied proof of Irish NGO money gone to Palestinian terrorists, accused Israel of genocide. I corrected him. Waiting to see if it's edited so he looks less foolish.

@GBNEWS Middle-class? You mean their employer made them apologize for their employer paying them too much? Wouldn’t it be simpler if the BBC capped salaries at £10.000 to make certain all of their employees are in poverty? Then they wouldn’t have to apologize.

@Davey2025 @griptmedia Ivan Yates never claimed to be impartial. His commentary was pure entertainment. To be fair, Matt Cooper’s biases are far more obvious than Yates and he does little to hide them.

@griptmedia To be fair if a host of a political programme is receiving payment from one of the parties how can his impartiality be trusted. He should have declared his conflict of interest.

@EOBroin @RTBinfo Failure to register with RTB was not a criminal offence at the time Jim Gavin failed to register. It only became so in recent years- but you know that, right?

@DrClownPhD Why does the piece refer to him by using female pronouns? Isn’t the fact that he’s male and going into female spaces, the issue? By referring to him as female the whole point of the petition is negated. Ar the very least it significantly weakens the argument.
