Wife went to doctor as she'd regularly wake up at exactly 2am with no explanation. He prescribed vitamins. On the way to the shop I remembered that I've set the washing machine, dishwasher and dryer to come on at 2am to save on electricity. They all beep when they start running

Our daughter, aged 18, is enrolled in the local community college and resides with us to minimize living expenses, while also working part-time as a waitress to help cover her tuition fees. Last night, she came home in tears, declaring her intention to abandon her job and studies due to disillusionment with humanity. Upon our request for clarification, she presented us with a receipt that exemplified the problem. It is deplorable that some individuals not only withhold tips from servers but also engage in deliberately hurtful behavior. If a patron is not inclined to leave a minimum tip of 30% when eating out, it would be prudent to dine at home instead. Needed a wax, chose to try new local place. Woman offers me a happy ending. I say no, I have a husband, she says "now I don't get paid". So I tip her well, spend money to not get hand relief, and now I feel sordid like I've cheated on my husband even though nothing happened.
