Jeff went into a bit more detail about his departure from Blizzard while he was working on Overwatch. He explained that Overwatch eventually became focused on making money as quickly as possible. According to one former CFO, Overwatch needed to hit a specific revenue target (X amount of money). If it did not the company would lay off 1000 people and Jeff would be responsible.

@Mcord14 @joardee i just wonder if blizzard is willing to accept 10-20% of the playerbase getting hard stuck on the attunes. they were unwilling to accept that for karazhan and nerfed it

This Attunement Will DESTROY TBC Is this the hardest attunement in WoW history? For thousands of players, the insanely difficult over the top Tempest Keep attunement questchain may be the end of their TBC journey. Here are the 5 reasons the tempest keep attunement will cause people to quit unless blizzard intervenes. #5 magtheridon kill. Blizzard loves to make the hardest boss of a previous TBC phase be required for attunement. If your guild is oneshotting mag every week i want to hear about it, but for the rest of us if you can't find a group that can click cubes, you're out of luck. #4 Slaying kargath bladefist in SHH widely considered the 2nd hardest heroic in the game. CC alone won't save you. You need a tank that can survive while getting hit by 5 mobs at once, and dps that can kill mobs quickly. Less tanks than ever in the game are ready for that in the post nerf environment. #3 Shadow labs heroic clear. Blackheart the inciter, the 2nd boss in this dungeon, is one of the hardest in any heroic. I've had more than a few shadow labs heroics end before we got to the final boss. #2 Killing warlord kalithresh in steamvaults. if he doesn't explode your tank, then the trash packs will. Or the insane tank that tries to skip them. #1 Rescuing millhouse manastorm. This is in arcaraz and is far and away the hardest content that exists in TBC right now. Heroic arcatraz is so hard and has stat checks. Your entire group needs at least 8000 HP each to not get oneshot on the final boss. One poster from 2021 notes that it's harder than PRE NERF KARAZHAN. So yeah. Do you think the tempest keep attunement is the hardest attunement? And do you think blizzard will intervene to change it?

But is it not unfair to the other people they might raid with to expect a tiny bit of knowledge of the game so as to make everyone’s experience better? It’s not unreasonable to expect some understanding in large group activities, and enabling those who don’t worsens everyone else’s experience imo and could be an even larger detriment to player numbers

@joardee @nohitjerome You been playing long enough to realise thats not how alot of people play. They will watch others raid the new raids get kicked from Heroics because they not good enough and end up stopping playing. Which i think is a bad thing for tbc.

@nohitjerome Biggest differences difficulty wise are Morogrim tidewalker and Vashj, and people will still need to spend some time on KJ to learn how their weapons work

@Mcord14 @nohitjerome But shouldn’t they have to prove they can at least do some of the other content before facing down the raids? I feel like this is at least a small barrier to entry that increases the quality of players to draw from who raid

@joardee @nohitjerome Atm there is a-lot of player base who cant complete heroics so yer they will struggle. Half the paladins dont even know what symbols of kings are. Like the got hit with the mind eraser from men in black.

@nohitjerome SSC and TK post nerf are not easier than the attunement

@joardee TK (the eye) attune vs boosted players if ssc/tk are post nerf, the attune will end up being harder than the raids probably 20%+ of the population won't be able to do these attunes blizz will likely have to nerf heroics before ssc/tk launch but maybe not. what do you think?
