A German court has sentenced four Syrian brothers to prison after finding them guilty of the attempted murder of their German-language teacher, Hisham A., in Wedel, Schleswig-Holstein. The brothers, identified as Ali A., Besam A., Omar A., and Salih A., believed the 67-year-old teacher was having an affair with their mother. Prosecutors said they lured him to the parking lot of the Wedel Adult Education Center by claiming one brother needed help with a German-language assignment. Once there, one brother distracted the teacher while another slashed his neck from behind before stabbing him multiple times in the neck and torso, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. A third brother took part in the attack while the fourth acted as a lookout, the court found. The victim had spent years teaching German to refugees and had previously taught both the attackers' parents. Prosecutors said the brothers learned of the alleged relationship with their mother the night before the attack and planned the assault in retaliation. The two adult brothers were each sentenced to 7.5 years in prison, the 19-year-old received 6 years under juvenile law and the youngest brother, who was 17 at the time of the attack, was sentenced to 4 years.

The UK judge Gemma Loughran has ruled that a Gazan refugee and mother of 3 must be allowed to bring 18 family members to the UK. The judge claims that the woman’s mental health must be protected by allowing her family reunification in the UK and that not letting the relatives in under these circumstances would be a breach of the European Convention on Human Rights from 1950. The 18 relatives coming to the UK will have the right to many welfare programs. The refugee will be allowed to bring her parents, a brother, his wife and 4 children, a sister and her 4 children and another sister, her husband and their 3 children. The refugee woman only has room to house her parents. The other 16 family members will get to live in apartments paid for by British taxpayers.

I was talking to a gentleman at work the other day, late 70’s, early 80’s. He was telling me that he has lived in the care home for several months now, and his wife, who has dementia, lives in another care home across town. He told me he pays over £3,000 per week for them both. Worked all his life since he was 14, bought a house, raised his 2 kids. Those kids are in the process of selling his house now to pay his care fees. Is this really the best we can do?

Utterly horrific. A 38 year old woman was found on the side of the A12 near Maarsbergen, Netherlands. She was found covered in blood, had two collapsed lungs, a broken shoulder blade and a broken nose. Her front tooth was missing and one of her eyes sealed shut. She had deep welts around her neck and was covered in stab wounds. The poor woman could not even walk. The prosecutor has said that it was like something out of a “horror film”. And that they had never seen a living person in such a bad state. So what happened to her? E. el B happened. This is the abbreviated name of a 52 year old man who has been accused of raping and torturing her at his house over a 7 day period. He was caught when cameras saw his license plate and traces of blood and the DNA of the victim were found at his home. His phone also contained photos of the beaten victim. The woman was made to sit under cold showers, a plastic bag over her head and a rope around her neck. She was nothing short of tortured. She was then driven away from the house and thrown out of the car. It appears that the “El B” wanted to drive over her. The woman was reported missing by her relatives. “El B” has been charged with attempted premeditated manslaughter, deprivation of liberty and rape with violence. He does not sound like a Dutch man.
