@RuaidhriOC To me, the toxicity is much more prevalent amongst Munster fans. Seems to be borne out of an overall frustration with lack of Munster representation - to be fair, I'd be happy seeing any of Crowley, Ahern, Nash, Hodnett start in green.

@Overthehillprop @LeinsterClub The fact he’s been capped this year demonstrates the flaws in the system really well. A guy who is clearly not intl level gets capped after starting a couple of urc games yet other lads play out of their skins and don’t come close.

1. This is being rightly framed as a great thing for Gus McCarthy but it does go to show how broken the Irish system is, because there is no way this (5th choice provincial to international cap in a few weeks) happens for a player in any of the other 3 provinces.

@LeinsterClub Again missing the point. This isnt about Emerging Ireland this is about Farrell selectsions and the impact at provincial level. Selection policies that don't encourage movement and create log jams in positions that means Farrell has to brief on lack of depth and gametime.

If Smith stopped playing it would take Lolesio 6 sessions of Super Rugby to be even. He’d be 30.

@HugoGordon1 @Overthehillprop @gortoshay1 I think there is a valid point that relative to Prendergast’s current experience, playing the boks away is akin to throwing a fella into the deep end and seeing if he can swim. I would imagine that a debut is likely in Nkv but prob won’t happen in SA

@HugoGordon1 @Overthehillprop @gortoshay1 Leinster have a 50% win record with Prendergast starting 10. He’s also 2/3 years younger than Crowley was. However my guess is that he’s travelling for experience and not expected to play.
