For boys, a lot of expectations are attached to age While birthday is a call for studio photoshoot for some for many boys, new age is a reminder of the apartment of their own that they should have had It’s a reminder that they are getting too old to be where they’re financially, academically and relationship wise etc On a normal day a boy could just sit and start thinking of how to move forward in life, that thinking is more intense on a birthday So if they don’t send a picture of themselves as broadcast to all contacts on WhatsApp group for a repost, it’s not a flex They are grateful for life, but when they have something truly worth celebrating they won’t hold back It’s not fake maturity, we are usually on a date with reality and reality is not friendly.

This odogwu mentality reminds me of my aunt’s husband, who had stroke in the US after years of carrying about 90% of the family responsibilities. Constant work and pressure led to high BP, and now he’s confined to a wheelchair. As a result, things became extremely tough…and my aunt who rarely bothered about the house bills had to double her workload just to keep everything together. Unfortunately, she d!ed last year due to stress. Husband’s health might not have deteriorated, and my aunt might still be alive, if they had both given their 100% from the beginning. When one person carries a home, two people end up paying the price…it’s a matter of time.

True. We agree! We worship Jesus alone. But your statement come from a misunderstanding of what we Catholics actually believe. We do not worship Mary. Worship belongs to God alone. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. What we Catholics give Mary is honor, not worship. The Bible itself shows that honouring Mary is not wrong. When the angel appeared to her, he said: “Hail, full of grace. The Lord is with you.” (Luke 1:28) (Part of the Rosary) If an Angel of God can greet her with honor, not indifference, then who are we? Also, Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit, said: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” (Luke 1:42) (Another part of what makes up our Rosary😅) So Scripture itself speaks highly of my Mother Mary. She herself prophesied something remarkable: “All generations will call me blessed.” (Luke 1:48) And we are simply fulfilling that prophecy. Honoring Mary does not take glory away from Jesus. It actually points back to Him. For example, at the wedding at Cana, Mary didn’t draw attention to herself. She said: “Do whatever He tells you.” (John 2:5) That is the entire Marian message. Mary always points us to Jesus. So Catholics don’t replace Jesus with Mary. We see Mary as the mother who leads us to Him. If loving the mother of Jesus is wrong, Why did Jesus Himself obey and honor her on earth? #CatholicTwitter
