I used to wonder why so many foreigners love to visit Balogun Market until I saw this video of a major Ethiopian investor visiting the market while exploring investment opportunities in Lagos and other cities. That made me realize that these markets are not just markets, they are tourism and economic assets especially as its close to the island. Balogun Market probably attracts more visitors than many tourist sites across Africa, yet the government does not treat it that way. The environment should be cleaner, more organized, accessible, and properly managed with better roads, waste management, security, and urban planning. Nigeria keeps talking about revenue generation, but you need to invest in infrastructure and visitor experience to attract more tourists, investors, and repeat visitors. We need leaders who understand that a clean and organized environment is also major sign of economic growth and part of global tourism. @drobafemihamzat @jidesanwoolu @IdrisConnecting @followlasg @LagostourismO 📷: Frame 1: Ethiopian Entrepreneur Kanessa muluneh in Lagos for a tour of its markets for investment Frame 2: How major investment in the market tourism can be made that will benefit both the government and even the traders in the market

I’ve lived all my life in Accra & after experiencing the north, all and I can say is Ghana is a VERY POOR place. There’s poverty written all over the people: their food, clothes & overall wellbeing. The disparity between East Legon and Chereponi is sheer wickedness! Unacceptable!

@naetoja @gbenga__snr @tosin_lua I thought there was a public announcement sometime back warning Nigerians not to invest with Risevest since they were licensed by NDIC or something like that.

I did a little investment analysis this morning. A friend called me seeking my advice on how to invest her 500k. According to her, she won't be needing it for 6 months. And was thinking stocks. I advised her not to invest it in the stock market. But to invest in safe instruments. So I went to the following apps looking for the best yield: Piggyvest safelock, T-bills on iinvest, and Money Market Fund on Zedcrest. I arrived at the following: • Piggyvest safelock - 8.63% (N43,150 gross interest) ≈ N38,835 net • T-bills on Iinvest - 7.4% (N37,000) ≈ 33,300 net • Money Market Fund on Zedcrest - 7.8%* (N39,000) note that this can fluctuate. In conclusion, Money Market Fund gave me the more attractive yield, net of tax, from these 3. So I advised her to put her 500k there. The reason I am sharing this is because it is very practical, and you can copy it as well. PS: I'll attach evidence of the abovementioned yields below.

Your bank is paying you less on your savings. Risevest Naira Vault is paying up to 25%. 🇳🇬 Here is exactly how it works. Less than ₦500,000 — 15% per annum ₦500,000 to ₦999,999 — 18% per annum ₦1,000,000 to ₦4,999,999 — 22% per annum ₦5,000,000 and above — 25% per annum Your money goes into money market funds, bonds and institutional credit assets. Returns hit your Naira wallet every single month. You can top up anytime. Duration starts from 1 month all the way to 5 years. The only question is why your money is still sitting in a bank account doing nothing. @Risevest is SEC regulated. Your money is not going anywhere except to work for you.

Direct primary election has returned power to the grassroot. Nonetheless the infractions, I thought it was a beautiful process. It can always be improved on. APC should be able to digitize the primary election process.

Former Governor Donald Duke has joined the presidential race. I’m glad the candidacies from the South are populated. Let me see where this TPain government will see votes to rig in the south and how the other undemocratic individual who despises primaries will sweep the south. Hello Northern Nigeria, this is your finest hour to send this self-serving Government home.

@hunchohumor For a “learned” investor, they know that (yields - inflation) is alpha. In this case, 19%-16%. Abi are things not getting more expensive as time goes by??

Once you cross ₦20m, you already have a real chance of becoming wealthy with time and discipline. Imagine putting ₦20m in a money market fund like Coronation MMF with yields around 19% annually. In 10 years, that could grow to roughly ₦114m without adding a single naira. Compounding works best when you give it time to do its thing. People will mention inflation, but ask yourself: Would you rather have ₦114m in 10 years or ₦0? The choice is yours. Hold the line.
