Very generous Mr. Musk, but you need to think about this situation with your DOGE hat on. Folks who aren't over the age of 45 probably don't remember what airline travel was like before TSA came along. For 75 yrs of commercial aviation prior to TSA, airports were responsible for running the security checkpoints using private security firms. But then on 9/11/01 Muslim terrorists brought box cutters on to 4 aircraft and threatened to kill stewardesses unless the pilots gave them the cockpit. After the horrific results, Uncle Sam decided to create a massive new federal agency because, of course, the federal government can run an airport security program better than the private sector... yeah right. A 9/11 like event will NEVER happen again. It was a one and done strategy. Pilots will never give up the cockpit again to save a threatened stewardess or passenger because they know the psychos could turn the plane into a missile. Also I'm pretty confident the male passengers on board will no longer yield to a guy with box cutters now that we know the potential outcome. I've done a ton of flying and none of the frequent flyers I know have ever felt that TSA made things safer or better. So I think this Dem stranglehold on TSA funding actually presents a great DOGE-like opportunity to the Trump admin to unwind the TSA boondoggle and give security responsibilities back to the airports with strict federal guidelines and a small oversight/enforcement agency.

I would like to offer to pay the salaries of TSA personnel during this funding impasse that is negatively affecting the lives of so many Americans at airports throughout the country

People really don't understand how dumb they are. Even I don't, and it's pretty much the only thing I think about. So it's all going to be a major shock.

President Trump said "we ended DEI in America". How I wish that was true. Unfortunately, DEI was like a toxic poison that infected the bloodstream of American culture. It will take years of diligent, deliberate treatment with multiple injections and perhaps transfusions to completely eradicate this toxin and heal the patient (American culture). The steps taken in 2025 by the Trump administration were very good and I'd liken them to the efforts of a talented medical team in a hospital ER, but now the patient will need a lengthy hospital stay with continuing invasive treatment to ensure the DEI poison is fully purged from the bloodstream. In the meantime, American culture and the American people will continue to deal with the lack of professionalism, bad attitudes, and lack of knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform that have invaded the American workplace through the DEI scam.

I don't understand how anyone can be impressed by this. Okay, wow, an algorithm spit out some images that look kind of real. Okay cool. The fundamental problem with AI content -- and why I will never be interested in an AI movie, no matter how realistic it looks -- is that I just have no interest in the stories that an algorithm tells. I don't want to watch an AI story any more than I want to sit around and listen to ChatGPT tell me about its hopes and dreams. If the story has no soul then it lacks the one and only thing that can make it worthwhile or interesting.
