@robert_sweatt Yeah. looks like I'll have to go with a rebinding with customization options for leather color, gilding, etc. Thanks man!
English

@joethorn I’ve heard great things about Rockwall but they are a rebinder. Idk if that’s what you’re looking for.

Who is producing the best customized #premiumbibles that would allow me to choose the color of the leather cover, and style of gilding, etc.?
English

@goatfoot21 Thanks! But it doesn't look like they do the customization I want.

@DianaMarie3yah @apologistlayman If the new Apple Watch costs $25, sure!

Ya know what I was just thinking? How much I love @joethorn… don’t you?
English

@TheCinesthetic Yes. It's "the end of the world" for the character who's personal life is unraveling, and that's more relevant anyway.
English

The obsession with apocalyptic stakes in action films is exhausting. Not every story needs the fate of the world. Smaller conflicts can feel more immediate, more personal, and often more thrilling.

What recent trends in films do you dislike?

@B_______Q_____ That’s ordinary discipline. Ordinary meaning it is the daily life of faith intended to be common in all believers. Read the article if you are unfamiliar with piety vs pietism.

Our winter sermon series, Walking with God, is essentially a series on piety, which means we need to make a distinction between piety and pietism. Hoping this is helpful for our people. All the resources for the series are at joethorn.org/walking

@joethorn Affirming.
Piety=/=pietism.
But it does mean, as the Puritans called it, Gospel Holiness.
English

The NT repeats the OT command to Be holy as He is Holy.
Pursuing Gospel holiness is not optional. It is not pietism. It is working out our salvation.
None of us have arrived at perfection. But none of us are free to excuse sin in the camp.
