I think in the future, equity-extracting, for-profit startup accelerators will be viewed like for-profit colleges — filling a niche, but all the best, most prestigious ones will be not-for-profit. So... will YC be more like University of Phoenix? Or ITT Tech?

@julianweisser Good to hear! At @BuildInception we've been nonprofit and donation-based from the start, which allowed us to avoid adverse selection and attract the very best founders, as there is zero downside to joining. Trying to monetize early-stage founders is very shortsighted.

Have to admit, I've been enjoying watching Twitter finally start to get usurped by Threads with a sense of schadenfreude. tbh Twitter has been a cesspool since well before Phony Stark took over, which is why I've been mostly disengaged from the platform for years.
