I first heard "Streets of Minneapolis" at a protest on Nicollet Avenue on the day the song came out, blaring from a car with its windows down (despite the frigid cold) to play it for all of us. It was equally chilling to hear Springsteen sing it at MSG last night. The heroic people I met in Minneapolis want us to follow their lead: To be enraged. To see the clear, present, deadly danger for what it is. To love our neighbors. To learn from and adapt their tactics. To stay/get busy organizing. But don't just take it from me, take it from The Boss.

Teachers deserve living wages. Robbinsdale teachers have been working without a contract for over 300 days. The district must get serious and treat our teachers with the dignity and respect they deserve. I was proud to stand with them in their fight for a fair contract. ✊🏽

This is my experience as a Minneapolis transplant as well. There’s really no place in the country like Minneapolis, and once people get here they never want to leave.

Minnesota is the main character of this current century. Wisconsin too tbh. The gatekeepers are dead, the gates are open, come on in!
