Groundwork seems to be under way (finally) on the old Track 2000 site, off Penarth Rd. Set to be a contentious housing association development. Take a last look at the 'lake' before it goes...

#Welsh #food twitter - does anyone know where the oldest indian/ chinese/ italian restaurants and takeaways in Wales are? (Or #lebanese / other minority ethnic establishments) Or the oldest in your area? Asking for a piece I'm writing...

Incredible photo-journal article about farmers in Bangladesh turning to 200 yr old techniques to adapt to climate change. Imagine telling these folks they need to "modernize", mechanize, and get their produce to global markets in the name of development! reuters.com/investigates/s…

Thinking about one of Cardiffs more ‘hidden’ waterways and how we let a van dealership cut back the protecting hedgerow and trees so their vans had a better view.

It's almost comical to say it at this point, but doing nothing is so obviously not an option. Inaction will cost so much more than passing a Green New Deal, creating a climate-resilient and 21st century infrastructure, and ending our dependence on fossil fuels.

This is great ... but I am still at a loss why @cardiffcouncil hasn't taken the opportunity to reinstall municipal water fountains across the city. I know @JulieMorganLAB has raised this in the Senedd. Any progress @huwthomas_Wales ?

@nspugh @ianapharri That would make sense ...although most new devs along the river seem to completely clear / decimate natural growth on the riverbank. Currently concerned that the established mature trees by parc play & all along there earmarked for dev. will be cut for #dumballsroad development

Is this something to do with future flood prevention works, future hard engineering @ianapharri? twitter.com/johanahartwig/…

Bank erosion on the river #Taff. An example of what happens when trees (especially mature trees) & plants on #riverbanks are obliterated. They not only provide habitats for wildlife but also protect the bank, stop #erosion. Is this tidy? What’s #Cardiff #policy #natureisnotuntidy

Made a platform to access the overflow of Wales’ (debatably) only hot spring at Taffs Well (currently and often closed) and also dressed the reputed site of St Teilos well over the weekend #divininglines #redroute #wateraccess #ffynhonnau
