Social media is hugely destructive. The final straw for me, is not flat earth or anti-vax conspiracy theories. Sadly for me it is half the country thinking you’re supposed to tie knots in your guitar strings to keep them from slipping out of the tuning pegs.

@davidclowery The "luthier knot" is the Oxford Coma of the guitar world. Not really sure what this means, but for some reason it popped into my head.

I asked every one of my guitar playing students if they "bend and wind" their guitar strings or use a "luthier knot." 100% "bend and wind." No one had ever heard of a "luthier knot". I think the "luthier knot" is a foreign funded information op.

@ronsterd89 All of the big tire companies are refusing to fix tires unless the hole is close to the center of the tread. Not just Firestone. Take it to an independent shop and they'll take care of it for you. Quick patch and you're on the road.

Tires with 11,000 miles and a nail. Firestone told me they are not repairable. Firestone said this is not repairable because of the location and that I would need a new tire. It's a slow leak, about 1-2 psi a day. I am in disbelief that this is not repairable.. Can I not just get a fix kit? 🤧

@NavalInstitute In the early 80's I worked at a video store that he used to frequent. I knew he was an actor, but after Back to the Future and Top Gun came out, he was a star! Very nice man, RIP.

We were saddened to hear that actor James Tolkan died over the weekend. He played the rough and gruff squadron commanding officer in the 1986 movie Top Gun.
