@DisplacedSabres It’s a terrible stat. I’m sure there are advanced stats that show possession % after 1, 3, 5 seconds. That’s more important to me.

Faceoff wins. The most overrated stat in hockey. All about controlling the puck regardless of who wins the faceoff. Boston won the faceoff there. Buffalo got the puck and it wound up in the back of the net.

Do I think this puck fully crosses the goal line? Yes. Can you conclusively prove that on video? No IMO. I’d be absolutely furious if the Sabres lost a playoff game like this. Edmonton got screwed.
