The Canadian model has shown us the unintended consequences of assisted dying laws for those who felt a burden to loved ones. It’s not hard to see how loneliness and isolation could influence decision making to this end too 😣 There must be a better way. Via @ProfJuneAndrews

A sad morning as this happy little car heads back to the lease company. It’s been a friendly fellow to travel about in.

Suspect my older sister would say the same about antidepressants being life saving many years ago. A balance of risk and benefit at the time, and (with other complimentary non 💊therapies) one which has led to a largely medication free life.

@neilpatel Would also be interesting to see if disclaimer was added to say absolutely no AI used to write content. But actually AI used 100%. Would people still read post and how much time would they spend? Perception of value of content —Human v AI.

If people knew the content was written by AI, would they still read it? We decided to run a fun experiment. We took blog content and added a disclaimer for some visitors stating that "AI wrote the content." But here is the kicker, the content was actually written by a human, and no AI was leveraged. For some views, we even included a disclaimer that “content was written by AI and modified by a human.” This way, we could see if different types of AI disclaimers had an impact on read time. The disclaimer was at the start of the article. Here is how read time is affected if people think AI wrote the content. As you can see, reading time is drastically affected if people think AI writes the content. We literally took the same articles written by humans, and 1/3 of the time we did nothing, and 2/3 of the time, we tested out a few different AI disclaimers. And we did this with 1.8 million visitors. Interesting results.

@mrdanwalker Seems to be the way of things these days 😳 Not everyone certainly, but lots of folks seem to think an empty (or half empty) skip means they’re entitled to dump their own rubbish in it—at no cost to themselves 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m aware there are far more important things going on in the world but… are there accepted boundaries when it comes to other people’s skips? My dad always taught us that, if you want to pop something in someone else’s skip, you wait a few days and then you go and ask if they have any space left and they mind. We had one this week, right outside the house, while we had some work done. Everyday there has been loads of new stuff in there - a toilet, fence posts, kitchen cupboards, bin bags etc - and no-one has asked! What do you think? Maybe I’m being an idiot
