@chi_geek This is my grandfather Jack’s house in Glen Ellyn. I’m named after him.

The circular Jack Mayes Residence (1954) in Glen Ellyn, IL was designed by architect Don Erickson, best known for the Birdcage Apts (1959) at Ridge & Farwell in Chicago. Unfortunately this AIA-winning design was torn down in the 1990s for a McMansion.

@ntepper90 @modrnhealthcr If medicare wants to lure doctors to participating in the programs and seeing medicare patients they should stop cutting reimbursement (another 3.36% cut proposed for 2024).

@jpclemens @AmerMedicalAssn I trained in the Irish and UK system and am surprised to hear this. The USA training schemes are much shorter compared to traditional Irish/UK ones. In Ireland medical school is 6 years, followed by intern year and SHO year before you can be considered for “residency.”

@AmerMedicalAssn Most Americans do not realize how much of an outlier North American medical training is. 11+ years post high school training to treat a UTI? Most countries train physicians in half that. In the US, that's how much training PAs get.

Medical students are dispirited by seeing nonphysician providers with less training than they have already delivering care. Learn more. spr.ly/6016Pgl5K

@MultilingualMD I find it weird that the AAP only provides these resources in English and Spanish. I wrote to the AAP president last year about this and they said they’d look into it
