Highest cover we have ever grazed 3842 in times past we would have baled this 10-14 days ago. Grass grows grass as they say this had a growth rate over the last 2 weeks of 136. Average kg/dm/ha 905 cover/Lu/265 stocked at 3.4 at the moment. Cows 24litres on 1.2kg meal average

Some dry cows grazing an experiment here. Fodder rape and leafy turnip stitched into an old silage sward in mid August in very dry conditions. Field was last grazed in the first week of September as seeds emerged.

I'm one of the very few farmer thinking that i could have done without that rain. 🤔

A map of the drainage done on the farm in 1962 to 1964. The map was professionally drawn and was said to have been regesterd somewhere. Anyone have any idea where or if land drainage maps are regesterd?

@EdwardTreanor True were nt causing it but, not helping global warming by failing to accept agri is a big part of the problem is as frustrating. 20% of farmers will try adapt and change to help the situation the other 80% will point the finger, not change and ruin the work of the 20%. 🤷‍♂️😂
