@citadeldev You're fine, don't worry about it. Having certain keys not working on certain guns is part of learning how to handle them in an FPS. Have them make a clicking noise or a short inspection animation if the player pushes the button for something a gun doesn't need to do.

@poppy_haze If the enemy's in visual range, so are you. And if you are in visual range of the enemy, your location is most likely being live streamed to the enemy's air force or drone battalions. So if you don't have backup that can handle that, time to shoot, scoot & pray.

@GrandpaRoy2 Tunnel warfare is, quite frankly, a nightmare that makes trench warfare look tame in comparison. The amount of things that can go wrong even without bullets & explosives flying is ridiculous enough. With them it's a slaughter. Those soldiers are braver men than I will ever be.

@StatisticUrban I blame the wolf theming in & out of fiction. Clan Wolf, the Luna Wolves, the Space Wolves, the Wolfsschanze, the Wolf Brigade... It's almost comical how many elite units are basically furry-themed.

There is a funny anecdote that after the Battle of Pavia in 1525 a lowly Spanish arquebusier named Roldan approached the captured French king Francis I to inform him that he had a special gold bullet prepared to shoot him during the battle, and wanted him to have it - to contribute to his ransom. @BabyBawoo Showcasing how hard it is to pilot a mech properly and how many things a pilot needs to learn should take centre stage. Piloting a good mech is dangerous enough. Piloting a mass-produced POS well enough to survive should feel like an achievement on screen, though it rarely is.

Apparently the "mecha is boring" mindset is really just rooted in: "The humans inside are weak and theyre just pushing buttons" new anime fans just dont appreciate the concept of piloting. I like mecha bc i see piloting/driving as skill in its own.
