The Minister needs us to "shout"

The latest: A company awarded $37M by the Minister of Favours David Piccini, whose lobbyist’s Paris wedding he attended and whose executives he joined in box seats at a Leafs game, has been referred to the Ontario Provincial Police after an audit into misuse of Skills Development Fund dollars. I’ve written to Premier Doug Ford demanding he fire David Piccini.

While Doug Ford dodges and distracts, northern workers pay the price. They're trying to get his attention because 2,500 jobs are on the line. His housing failure hit their sawmills. Letting Kap Paper close might be one hit too much. #KapuskasingStrong

BREAKING: Ontario’s Auditor General says Ford’s Skills Development Fund process was “not fair, transparent or accountable.” Add it to the pile. Greenbelt: “Not transparent, objective or fully informed.” Ontario Place: “Not fair, transparent or accountable.” Doug Ford has no respect for taxpayer dollars — and while 800,000 Ontarians look for jobs, he only delivers scandals.

The “confusion” was that he clearly & explicitly asked the federal government to deny First Nations the right to clean water, and continues to do so. First Nations have rejected the insincere & disrespectful non-apology, and continue to call for his resignation #onpoli #cdnpoli

Ontario leadership says it will spend $125-million for 20,000 knee and hip replacement surgeries starting in 2026. This at privately owned surgical clinics when these could be managed at existing public hospitals. Plus there is no requirements for outcome data to be shared.

We cannot accept the false narrative that private clinics will improve our health crisis - they will drain money & resources and allow profiteering to enter the public health space. We need to oppose privatization of our health system like our health depends on it!

A list of uninsured services on a website isn’t enough protection for our patients against upselling and exploitative fees in private health clinics. The Ford government is opening up the door to profiteering and asking patients to protect themselves. Ontarians deserve better.
