@TopKniFe_B @bryanacotton1 First, love that they did a clinical trial of it! I’m sure that was a tremendous effort. Second, not sure we can be definitive in a small study stopped early. A 9% increase in abdominal closure sounds great to me.

With @bryanacotton1 and John Holcomb’s changes in resuscitation, we don’t really have issues closing people anymore. Different groups.

@smuramed It’s a Bayesian analysis. They aren’t confidence intervals, but credible intervals. Crossing 1 doesn’t mean what it means in a frequentist analysis. The posterior probability is used to interpret.

Lot of REBOA naysayers claiming this should be the last nail in the coffin for REBOA. Hard disagree. Can't make that decision from screenshots of a conference presentation. Only ~90 patients, OR confidence intervals crossing 1. Looking forward to published results w/more details.
