@NYK_Mentality85 This is not the right argument. DPs are assets that are used strategically to build a team that can win the chip. To spend 5 1sts on Bridges is just bad business. I love Mikal but if that was the price, then move on.

New York actually fleeced Brooklyn during the Mikal Bridges trade. A.) Brooklyn's drafted 2 busts and/or G-League players @ best with our 2 picks this past draft (Ben Saraf 26th and Danny Wolf 27th). B.) None of their 3 remaining draft picks are this year (within a fully loaded draft class) and potentially the most stacked draft class over the previous 20+ years. 2027. 2029. 2031. None of those 3 draft picks are going to save their atrocious Franchise.

@NetsMuse If Arkansas makes the final four and he averages 30 a game, he’ll go higher than 5. Should he? Probably not given his extreme defensive limitations but he will.

Today is the last full day for teams for re-sign their own FAs before they hit the market tomorrow at noon. #Jets not expected to do any deals with their most notable FAs before then. There's interest in retaining G Alijah Vera-Tucker, G John Simpson and K Nick Folk, but they will allow those players to shop around. Despite his injury history, AVT is expected to have a market. There's also interest in bringing back WR John Metchie (non-tendered FA). LB Quincy Williams isn't expected to be back; he will have suitors. Jets' lengthy FA list includes QB Tyrod Taylor, S Tony Adams, S Andre Cisco, DE Micheal Clemons, DB Isaiah Oliver, KR Kene Nwangwu, FB Andrew Beck, OT Max Mitchell, DT Jay Tufele, WR Josh Reynolds.

@KnicksMuse That Jan ‘24 team was great but this team is better and it’s not even that close. We’re so much deeper and more versatile now. Plus, Thibs played every regular season game like it was a game 7. We don’t do that anymore…we play like a team that knows the season is 82 games.

Mike Tirico is getting his due after a dominant stretch across NBC’s biggest stages. After calling the Super Bowl and hosting Olympic primetime coverage, Tirico has separated himself as the network’s—and arguably the industry’s—best all-around sportscaster.

Hockey and Cornell and Judaism full circle: Jack and Quinn Hughes are Jewish and now Olympic gold medalists. Their mother Ellen played for the US national team. Sarah Hughes is Jewish and an Olympic gold medalist. Her father John played for the 1970 Cornell team that won the NCAA championship and her sister Emily was an Olympian. Ryan Hughes, 22nd overall pick by Quebec in 1990, played at Cornell and for the Bruins, and his brother Kent is now the Canadiens' gm. The three Hughes families are unrelated to each other.

@NYK_Mentality85 He’s one of the most selfish player in the league. That’s why Nets cut him. We don’t have selfish players nor do we want them.

@LetsTalkKnicks_ There is no one here who can really make a positive impact. We may have a size issue. We have 4 guards, Diawara and Huk alongside Mitch. We all wanted another big. Didn’t happen. Love the Alvarado add. As long as Mitch stays upright, I think we’ll be ok

Knicks really DID get the best option in the 2019 Draft when they fell to 3rd in the Lottery & picked RJ Barrett Zion - always hurt Ja Morant - shopped and nobody wanted him RJ Barrett - very good player that won a lot of games with the Knicks that was flipped for OG Anunoby
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania

Ja Morant remained with the Memphis Grizzlies past today's NBA trade deadline. Multiple teams were intrigued by Morant's talent but none were willing to make a serious offer, sources said.

The Knicks are showing interest in Jrue Holiday, per @TheSteinLine “Another concept that keeps coming up: Rumbles that the Knicks have explored pathways to try to acquire Portland's Jrue Holiday. There are at least two clear reasons why New York would have interest in a player who helped both Milwaukee and Boston win championships this decade: 1) The presumption that acquiring Holiday — if there's a way — would make the Knicks an even more attractive destination to Holiday's former Bucks teammate Antetokounmpo; 2) New York is believed to hold a longstanding fondness for Holiday as a potential backcourt complement to Jalen Brunson.” (Via substack.com/redirect/2/eyJ…)
