Someone should pass this memo to @JeromePowellPPT. Home price appreciation is a significant contributor to the inflation calculation. Raising of the rates drives supply of houses lower which further drives up pricing. JP might be the single biggest driver of remaining inflation!

@JoshuaBaer Agreed. The laws of supply and demand are too powerful..the austin housing market was one of the only markets in 2007 that flattened vs fell off the cliff..the dynamics now are 100x that with massive wealth chasing tiny inventory..ATX housing will unfortunately for most be 📈

Unlikely, I expect it will just flatten out. There is still NO inventory and lots of people trying to move here (search Twitter for “move to Austin”). Maybe it goes down a little, but I doubt anything that qualifies as a “correction”.
